Rug Cleaning

The cleaning of traditional fine woven rugs or machine made rugs requires an initial process to remove dry grit and dirt, along with greasy soils from everyday use . Rugs can hold a huge amount of dry soil that will not just simply vacuum out. Most rugs are taken away where possible and cleaned back at our workshop in a controlled environment.  Firstly after a full inspection the rug is placed on a grid system for dry soil removal. Our special machine vibrates the dry soil out of the fibres and into the grid.

Following this we will then test the rug for dye stability and choose then most suitable cleaning process. Our processes vary from rug to rug depending on a number of key factors – from how its been constructed, how the fibres have been dyed and the type of soiling involved, depending on where the rug spends most of its life at your property.
